VVTechnologiesINC’s PalletMaster is a configurable pallet aggregation and inspection solution designed to accurately identify, verify, and track cases and pallets within centralized palletizing operations.

The system can be integrated with existing robotic palletizing equipment and is designed to support production environments where multiple products or lots may be palletized simultaneously. It provides flexibility for managing different pallet configurations while maintaining accurate serialization and aggregation records.

PalletMaster supports both automated and manual operating modes. Automated configurations can use industrial cameras, barcode scanners, and Print-and-Apply technology, while manual configurations can be operated using barcode-scanning devices.

The solution also provides rework and exception-handling capabilities, allowing operators to manage unreadable, defective, or incorrectly identified cases and pallets without disrupting the overall packaging workflow.

HOW IT WORKS

1. CASE IDENTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION

Cases entering the palletizing area are identified using industrial cameras and/or barcode scanners. The system verifies the available serialization and packaging information before the cases are associated with a pallet.

2. PALLET CONFIGURATION

PalletMaster manages the configured pallet pattern and product information, allowing different products or lots to be handled according to the defined production requirements.

3. PALLET AGGREGATION

Verified cases are associated with their corresponding pallet, creating the required parent-child relationship between cases and the pallet.

4. PALLET LABELING

Depending on the system configuration, a serialized pallet label can be generated automatically using a Print-and-Apply unit, or the labeling operation can be completed manually.

5. PALLET VERIFICATION

The applied pallet label is scanned or inspected to confirm that the pallet identification and aggregation information are correct.

6. DEFECT AND REWORK MANAGEMENT

Cases or pallets with unreadable codes, incorrect information, inspection failures, or other exceptions can be identified and routed for appropriate rework. This helps prevent incorrect pallet data from entering the distribution process.

7. MULTIPLE-PALLET MANAGEMENT

The system can support environments where multiple pallets are being built or stacked simultaneously, providing controlled tracking of individual pallets and their associated cases.
